The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales has announced that minor amendments have been made to the AI Practice Note, which will take effect on 3 February 2025.
The Chief Justice expressed gratitude to legal professionals for their input during the development of this guidance. The amended Practice Note outlines the expectations and requirements for the use of generative AI by legal practitioners in NSW.
Practice Note SC Gen 23 was first issued on 21 November 2024 together with Guidelines for New South Wales judges in relation to the use of Gen AI.
