🌱Carbon Credit Insurance Framework goes live

Verra and Gold Standard have released frameworks allowing the use of insurance for carbon credits under the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). 🐨Koala goes to Ireland

Paris based travel InsurTech Koala has been acquired by Ireland’s CarTrawler! Koala (not to be confused with the beloved Australian marsupial) helps distribute travel insurance products including Cancel for Any Reason, Travel Delay and Missed Connection.

🚀InsurTech Gateway secures Lloyd’s broker status

InsurTech Gateway has been authorised to trade in the Lloyd’s market after obtaining Lloyd’s broker status! The development enables InsurTech Gateway to secure capacity for its portfolio companies more quickly, as part of a full incubation solution covering compliance, establishment, investment and now capacity.

🤖 EIOPA publishes AI Opinion

The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has published an Opinion on AI Governance in Insurance. While directed at supervisors, the Opinion contains a useful information for insurers, particularly in the context of prudential supervision such as business continuity management and risk management.

🔍 Life Insurance Code Review

Ex-Deputy Chair of ASIC, Peter Kell, will lead the Review of the Life Insurance Code of Practice in Australia. The review will commence on 1 October 2025, with a final report due to the Council of Australian Life Insurers by mid 2026.
